Nibong Tebal Cultural Heritage Project

This project is an initiative carried out by Arts-ED to document and interpret the history and the cultural heritage assets of Nibong Tebal.This project is part of the Seberang Perai Small Towns Grants Programme in collaboration with Think City and the Ministry of Finance. The project focuses on mapping cultural heritage assets in Nibong Tebal, covering the areas of the old town, neighbouring estates, Sungai Acheh and Sungai Udang. With the aim of identifying and elevating the value of existing cultural heritage assets, promotional materials which include a banner, booklet and website have been created in collaborative effort with various communities and local institutions in Nibong Tebal who shared local wisdom and stories significant to the cultural identity of the community here. With these promotional materials, it is hoped that awareness and appreciation of Nibong Tebal’s cultural heritage may be increased among the local residents as well as visitors.
